I had a feeling this was going to be a interesting release. I am a big fan of the Riot and the Dark Star mainly due to the Ultimate Vision cover. With the new Neutron core I didn’t know what to expect from this ball other than the numbers indicated it would be stronger than the Dark Star.

The Rising Star turned out to be a really nice surprise. The best way I could describe this would be a similar controlled motion to the Dark Star but stronger than the Riot. This is one of the best ball motions I have seen in a long time for my type of game. I tested this ball on the Kegel Middle Road pattern, it gave me many different ways to play the lane. Playing around 14 to 7 was by far my best look, it clears the fronts nicely and really picks up the midlanes. One of the qualities I liked best was that I didn’t have to move as fast as I do with some of my other equipment.

I then tried this ball in league the same night, our league shot is the Kegel Stone Street pattern. I started playing around 13 at the arrows with a breakpoint of 5 and I pretty much stayed there the whole night. I made a 3 and 1 move in the last game and that was it, shooting games of 259, 265, 256. Once again the smooth motion and the ability to stay in the same location was absolutely amazing!

This is a great all around ball. It is definitely a different ball motion than anything else in the Roto line. Rev dominate and matched players will find this to be a GREAT benchmark ball. Speed dominate players also would find a great use for this especially if the surface is changed. Great job to the guys in Utah!

It's your time to shine. The next big thing in bowling. Take your game straight to the top with the Roto Grip Rising Star!

The intent of the new Rising Star was to create a ball that works well on medium-light oil patterns for bowlers with different skill levels and styles. With the benchmark-type symmetrical core shape, the original Dark Star was the cornerstone of the Shield line in 2010, and the new Rising Star will fit the same parameters and perform even better. The Rising Star was designed to increase total hook as compared with the Dark Star, the Ultimate Vision hybrid coverstock is a must for this new release. It creates a smooth glide through the heads with ample bite on the dry boards without being over-sensitive. And with a 1500-grit polished finish, the new Rising Star is sure to raise the bar. A journey to the center of the ball will reveal the new Neutron core as the power source. The Neutron core's medium RG-medium differential shape is based on the concept started with the original Photon core utilized in the Dark Star. But you'll find an even lower RG and higher differential in the heavier weights. So look for more motion out of the Rising Star with all the benefits of a hybrid coverstock. As you rise to the top with this new Roto Grip release, you'll quickly see why it earned the name Rising Star!

The Roto Grip Rising Star is currently selling for $89.99 and rates a 174.3 on the bowlingball.com Perfect Scale®.

The Infinite Theory is a great compliment to the Theory!

Layout:
55 x 5.25 x 55
no hole

Knowing that this ball is really strong off the end of the pattern I went with a more even layout to try and get this where I could throw it during transition.

The ability to get this ball through the heads it definitely one of this balls strong suits. Don’t get me wrong this ball is not weak, it just gets down the lane a good ways before it shows its colors. Testing this ball on Kegel’s Middle Road pattern I was able to play just left of the track (around 13) and get the ball to 7 and it made a really sharp move a the end of the pattern. With a different layout I would have had more area to strike but this is not what I intended this ball to be for. After throwing my original Theory for a while to break the lanes down I went back to the Infinite. This is where this ball really shined for me. Still able to feed to the breakpoint easily from around 18 at the arrows, I was able to open the lanes up more left to right and pretty much strike at will.

This is a great all around ball, depending on the layout you choose you could fit this ball in many places in your arsenal. If you are rev dominate or a matched player this ball is a absolute must have! Speed dominate players still will find a lot of use for this especially if you are looking for something to give you a little more entry angle to the pocket. Once again another great ball by Roto Grip!

Infinite. Forever. Never-ending. Watch the newest Theory roll down the lane and you'll believe it will never quit on the backend. It's the Roto Grip Infinite Theory!

Following the huge impact on the market made by the original Roto Grip Theory, Roto Grip has created the Infinite Theory. This ball is for bowlers looking for a smoother glide through the heads with strong motion through the pocket. The Triliptic core helps the ball get into a roll easier while the Infinite theory's triple elliptical shape creates consistent axis migration and predictable ball motion giving the consistency needed. This ball also provides more energy transfer from the ball to the pins, increasing pin movement and therefore increasing strikes. The hybrid coverstock gives added versatility while the polished surface will float the ball effortlessly through the heads with a hint of Abralon for the benefits of a solid.

The Roto Grip Infinite Theory is currently selling for $132.95 and rates a 219.3 on the bowlingball.com Perfect Scale®.

After the great success of the Virtual Gravity comes the Virtual Gravity Nano. With the stronger coverstock you will see more midlane motion with a much higher entry angle. Don’t get left out on this one!

The Storm Virtual Gravity was one of the most successful and best selling balls of all time, we just made it better. More aggressive. More strikes. The Storm Virtual Gravity NANO!

Storm is known for producing the best high performance balls on the market. When the Virtual Gravity was released in 2008, it not only turned heads but gave bowlers of all skill levels an unprecedented amount of hook on even the oiliest lanes imaginable. The new Virtual Gravity Nano is intended to create a similar yet stronger ball motion built specifically for heavy oil. This can be accomplished with either a stronger coverstock (texture) or more aggressive weight block (lower radius of gyration or increased differential). As the original Virtual Gravity quickly became Storm's all-time best seller, the new Nano is sure to follow in its footsteps...and yes, those are big shoes to fill! Looking at the original Virtual Gravity, the Shape-Lock HD weight block/core system produced a fast-revving action that especially helped bowlers looking for a stronger change of direction usually privy to only those with big rev rates! The Shape-Lock HD motor will continue to power the Nano as well. A breakthrough in coverstock technology rarely happens due to the complex nature of chemistry and polymer science. But Storm's research and development team is committed to maintaining the "pole position" in bowling innovation, so it's no surprise that we are changing the game yet again with the new NRG cover. With Nanotechnology, NRG will give bowlers increased oil traction due to the micro-dynamic enhancements of the surface. Just looking at the surface of the new NRG material shows you the increased surface texture between the peaks and valleys, as well as the more aggressive edges on the top of the peaks! We're continuing to push the envelope we just hope you are ready for it.

The Storm Virtual Gravity NANO is currently selling for $159.95 and rates a 224.3 on the bowlingball.com Perfect Scale®.

Propel X Coverstock
The Loaded Revolver maximizes its performance by using Propel X reactive coverstock technology. Propel X features an enhanced pore structure to provide Xtra consistency from shot to shot and Xtra workability on a wider variety of lane conditions

Jack Core
The Jack core was designed as a low RG symmetric core with a high differential. The low RG engages in the mid-lane assisting in ball motion, and the high differential increases track flare potential giving the ball more opportunity to grip the back-end while using standard layouts and interchangeable thumb sleeves.

Ball Motion
With its Rough Buff finish, the Loaded Revolver unites the proven Propel X coverstock and the Jack low RG core to produce a ball motion that clears the front with ease and is aggressive in the mid-lane with a quick, continuous response to friction on the backend.

Reaction Setup
The Loaded Revolver can be drilled using the standard drilling techniques developed for symmetric bowling balls.

Lightweight Engineering
The unique core shape of each Brunswick ball is used for weights from 14 to 16 pounds. This approach to lightweight ball engineering provides bowlers with consistent ball reaction characteristics across this weight range. The same drilling instructions can be used for 12- and 13-pound balls. This is because Brunswick uses a generic core shape with an RG differential that is close enough to the 14-16 pound shape.

The Brunswick Loaded Revolver is currently selling for $79.99 and rates a 204.8 on the bowlingball.com Perfect Scale®.

This ball is a absolute monster! Good Length through the fronts with a strong midlane motion with a lot of continuation. This is a great ball choice for inside angles when you are trying to open the lane up.

CFT ALPHA-MAX Coverstock

CFT alpha-max is our newest breakthrough in Chemical Friction Technology. The CFT alpha-max coverstock uses a higher concentration of the CFT additive in order to maximize the chemical system. The CFT alpha-max coverstock is the highest friction factor of any Brunswick ball to date. The secret is in the technology which creates more traction with chemical friction instead of mechanical friction. Being able to use less mechanical friction for hook, allows the ball to skid easier through the front part of the lane saving axis rotation for more energy on the backend.

I-Block Asymmetric Core

The proven Asymmetric I-Block core enhances the CFT alpha-max coverstock to create maximum forgiveness, strong entry angles along with versatile drilling layouts

Ball Motion

This ball is off the chart! The C(System) alpha-max is so strong we had to add a column to the Ball Comparison chart and increase our Hook Potential scale to describe the ball motion. With its 4000-grit Siaair micro pad finish, the C(System) alpha-max offers the highest hook potential of any Brunswick ball to date. The C(System) alpha-max skids effortlessly through the front, saving axis rotation in the mid-lane to grab the backend for strong response to friction and cuts easily through the pins.

Reaction Setup

The C(System) alpha-max can be drilled using the standard drilling techniques developed for asymmetric bowling balls.

The Brunswick C (System) alpha-max 14 15 lb ONLY is currently selling for $99.99 and rates a 221.4 on the bowlingball.com Perfect Scale®.

The Bank by 900 Global has been a very successful ball. It’s predecessor The Bank Pearl give more length with a stronger motion in the back. This is a must have for matched and rev dominate players.

Purchase a Bank Pearl and win your shot at a World Series of Poker Main Event Seat!

900 Global has already taken you to the BANK, but now it's time to earn your money on the BACKEND with the new Bank Pearl!

The Bank Pearl is the first ball in the 900 Global lineup to feature the S74 shell, the S74 shell combines with the SRC core to create a strong controllable skid-flip motion down the lane.

The Bank Pearl features the Self Righting Core (SRC). The SRC is both homogeneous in nature and also mono-monostatic. The unique core shape contains only one stable point. Unlike all other cores in the industry the SRC core will always move and twist to its stable position regardless of how or where it is placed. It will right it self!

Our testing indicated that when in rotation the core shape easily moves without resistance or hesitation in seeking the stable spot helping give the Bank and Bank Pearl greater ease in transitioning through the phases of ball motion. Other cores on the market that have multiple stable, or flat spots, must expend additional energy to move off of that position and thus not efficiently and effectively optimize energy transfer to yield maximum ball reaction. The SRC, once in motion, does not need to expend additional energy to seek its sole stable position and therefore creates optimum ball reaction for the bowler.

An additional benefit of the SRC is the value of the Moment Arm. The moment arm measures the likelihood of a force to rotate an object about any given axis. The larger the moment arm the greater amount of loping and imbalance forces the core will have during rotation. This effect leads to increased energy retention. The SRC has the greatest moment arm available. The combination of having the greatest moment arm and only one stable point creating the least resistance gives The Bank a unique and powerful motion.

The 900 Global Bank Pearl is currently selling for $159.99 and rates a 216.7 on the bowlingball.com Perfect Scale®.
