REVIEW
Since the Silver Streaks were one of my favorite balls and the Nomads use the Rotary core that was in the Silver Streaks I have been looking forward to these releases for some time.
The Nomad solid with the layout that I used is really clean through the fronts with a strong mid-lane reaction. Quite the reaction I was expecting. A very versatile ball motion that can be used on multiple types of lane patterns by many types of bowlers.
The Nomad Pearl was surprising. I was expecting a “skid/flip” reaction with this ball, but to my surprise the reaction on the back is very smooth for a pearl cover. It is still cleaner than the solid but gives a strong and very controllable move in the back.
These two balls compliment each other better than any 2 releases I have seen in some time. After starting in league with the solid, about the middle of the 2nd game the heads started to burn. I was able to change to the Pearl and stay almost in the exact same spot as where i started.
These two balls are great additions to the already great Roto-Grip line!
Fall leagues are about to start. Time to start preparing for that fall season. Here is a short checklist to help make sure you have everything you need.
- Do you need to have your hand checked? It is good to check your fit every 6 months or so.
- Check your inserts and slug, if they are worn it is probably time to have them replaced
- Is your ball in need of resurfacing? If there are alot of scratches in the track then it is time to have that ball resurfaced to make it look new again.
- Are you low on accessories. Bowlers Tape, Rosin, Easy slide, Protection tape, are things you should have in your bag just in case.
- Is it time for a new ball? Technology in this sport moves very rapidly! with the advances in equipment a new ball could quite possibly raise your average that 5 or 10 pins you needed to win that league last year.
The fall season is only a few weeks away, make sure you are prepared for that first night so you are not running around trying to fix your equipment your first night of league.

Tech specs on this upcoming new ball release:
With all the success of Ebonite The One - Original and Ebonite The One Encore, Ebonite The One Pearl is going to be a sure success. The only complaint I had about The One was that I could not use it later in the block of league or a tournament, but with a pearl version of the GB 10.7 wrapped around the Centrex Symmetrical Mass Bias core, this will be a thing of the past. This will be one of the most sought after balls in 2009, the official release date is January 06, 2009. Be sure to pre order yours today!!!

Ebonite Voyager III is not only a stylish bag but also extremely well made. The Voyager III has the handle that sits flush with the bag and rugged wheels that will last a long time. Ebonite Voyager III also comes with a lock, which is nice for those who do not like to bowl with objects (wallet, keys, cell phone) in their pockets while they bowl. You can lock them in the bag while you bowl and not have to worry about someone walking off with them.
